1st Credit celebrates double award win at Debt Collection Awards

1st Credit, the leading debt collection agency, has won two awards - Compliance Team of the Year and Tracing Team of the Year - at the prestigious Debt Collection Awards. It was the only firm to win more than one award category.

It is the second year in a row that 1st Credit has won the compliance award. The judges said the firm showed clear evidence of being structured around compliance and had demonstrated its commitment to improving industry standards. “Its low level of complaints and attention to detail in dealing with compliance issues stood out in this category,” the panel said.

In the tracing category, 1st Credit impressed the judges with its innovative approach to incentivising tracers to look for contact details. “The strong entry fulfilled the award criteria with excellent financial results, a responsible approach and commitment to excellence,” the panel said.

The Debt Collection Awards is the only awards scheme aimed at celebrating the achievements of professionals working in debt collection enforcement, debt purchase and tracing. Now in its fifth year, the event recognises the outstanding efforts and talent of both individuals and teams in a challenging sector.

The awards ceremony took place at the Palace Hotel, Manchester.
